BFT Visco is a device that automatically controls ink viscosity in flexographic printing.
It measures ink viscosity in real time using a vibration-type sensor.
Based on deviations from the preset target value, the system automatically adds diluent (water) to stabilize viscosity.
With conventional viscometers, operators must frequently check ink viscosity and manually adjust it by adding diluent;
however, BFT’s automatic viscosity controller Visco not only manages viscosity but also helps optimize the flexographic printing process.
Stable viscosity control with vibration-type sensor
By using a vibration-type sensor, the system responds quickly to changes in ink viscosity, making it highly suitable for real-time viscosity control.
In addition, compared with rotational-type sensors, vibration-type sensors have fewer moving parts, resulting in lower maintenance requirements and easier cleaning.
Reduced operator workload
The system automatically compensates by adding diluent according to the deviation from the target value, significantly reducing operator workload.
By maintaining a constant viscosity at all times, it suppresses color variation and density fluctuations, ensuring stable print quality.
Reduced running costs
Compared with manual viscosity adjustment, the system reduces unnecessary consumption of ink and solvent caused by excessive dilution, contributing to lower running costs.

We have been offering demo unit loans of “BFT Visco” since January 31, 2026.
